About Us
The beautiful outskirts of Hyderabad near Osmansagar and Himayatsagar lakes were turning into garbage dumps with the city growing towards these areas without any proper waste disposal system in place. We wanted to find a solution to this problem and approached the Government to help solve the issue. With Government's encouragement we started the NGO for Zero waste, Gandipet Welfare Society in 2015.

Initiatives we have worked on:

We have set up Solid Waste Management units in Gandipet, Khanapur, Aziznagar, Yenkepally and Vittinagulapalli, Coonoor (Nilgiris, Tamilnadu). As of now we are processing around 800 - 1000 tonnes of municipal waste per month.

We are also involved in:

Cleanup drives with volunteers,

Educating communities and creating awareness in schools and villages,

Assisting other volunteer groups in their zero waste initiatives.
